Our First Big Snow

Looks like it may be a white Christmas after all!

Here is Rhode Island, we usually have some very funny weather. Last year around this time there was a large storm which no one was really forewarned about. It created a huge mess because there was so much snow. Businesses closed, schools closed, and everyone else closed all at the same time. Which meant that everyone was headed home at the same time.
A drive that normally would take 15 minutes took almost four hours!
This year, at the first sight of a big storm coming, everyone was warned! And what a storm it was (well it still is...). It started snowing around 2pm yesterday afternoon. Within the first ten minutes my car was white and coated. We had to start shovelling right away!
We thought last night, the snow would stop and it looked like it was lightening up. So we made one last big shovelling trip outside and then back inside to warm up.
This morning I woke up and looked out the window to find...More snow! It looked like we hadn't even shovelled. And, to top it all off, it was still snowing!
Now almost 24 hours later, it is still snowing with no real end in sight.

I love the snow! And I even made Brandon a hat! My very first crocheted item that did not lie flat. I have now made three hats this week!
