Embroidery is Back!

I know I have been focused on quilting for several months now. Today, I unpacked my embroidery arm for the sewing machine and had some fun. Since I am talking a trip in a few weeks to visit my oma, I will also get to see my 4-year old cousin. He is very cute and active. My mom and I decided to make him a couple of t-shirts for October.

I decided on a cute bear design. And to make it even better, the words Trick or Treat actually glow-in-the-dark. I found a really fun line of thread that glows and works really well with the embroidery designs.
And of course I had to make a label for my uncle's hunting quilt. There is a short story behind the sock monkey. My uncle wears these socks because they are warm and practical. One year, my mom was thinking about making sock monkeys, and when she saw his socks, she 'threatened' to turn them into the fun stuffed monkeys! My uncle quickly hid his feet, and has not worn those socks around her since. Very funny.
